Sporting Influence Ltd have delivered a block of CPD, a unit of Sport Numeracy and lunch time sports clubs within the first term of this school year, working with teachers and children in KS1.
Mr Doey delivered a block of KS1 themed lessons to classes 1 and 2. These lessons were all based on stories which the children participated in and developed their personal and social skills at the same time. All children that took part were really enthusiastic and were always demonstrating fantastic behaviour, they are a credit to the school. As well as the children the teachers also used this as a block of CPD. Mr Cawte observed all the lessons and on the final week he provided a fantastic lesson based on a christmas theme. Certainly a lesson I will use in the future. Overall a brilliant half term and a brilliant school. Well done all!
Mr Ellis worked with two groups of year 3 and 4 children delivering a block of Sport Numeracy work. This work was aimed at continuing improvements of the attainment and also attitudes towards Maths, whilst improving fundamental physical skills. Play, Collaborate and Learn was the focus of each session and both groups were fantastic. The year 4 group focused on ‘Measure’ and in particular, converting between units of measure and time. The year 3 group focused on consolidating their addition & subtraction knowledge and embedding their learning to become more confident. It was a real pleasure to see the effort and progress that all children made throughout the unit, as well as an increase in confidence working with others. Both groups were tremendous and displayed a great attitude towards learning and collaborating, working on key social skills that we, as a company pride ourselves on. Well done everybody!
