Miss Beaumont has been so impressed with the Year 3/4 classes at New Park Primary Academy that she has been working with on Wednesday mornings since January!
This term we have been working on Striking and Fielding with a big focus on the throwing and catching skills involved in the sports of cricket and rounders. Alongside concentrating on the physical skills, we have done a lot of work on the five Sporting Influence Social Skills of communication, respect, determination, encouragement and body language. Every lesson, this has led to even better teamwork, cooperation and personal progression due to children not giving up when tasks have become challenging. The smiley face boards have become full of children’s names with many pupils taking this a step further and being selected stars of the day! Miss Beaumont looks forward to helping the children advance even further with their physical and social skills!

Sporting Influence Activity Camps are a fun and safe environment for your children to learn and develop social skills during the school holidays. Our Camps are always inclusive and we love having a wide range of children from different backgrounds and children who enjoy a range of sports and activities.
Sporting Influence After School Clubs are a fun and exciting hour of games, sports and activities to engage children in disguised learning and exercise. Playing a wide range of games and sports (club dependant) the children will work on specific skills all underpinned by our five social skills.
