This year, Sporting Influence has launched its first-ever Graduate Programme, designed to offer university leavers a unique entry point into the fields of education and sport. This new initiative provides young professionals with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a full-time role, bridging the gap between university life and the professional world. After a year in the programme, participants can either continue with Sporting Influence in a permanent position or use their newfound skills to explore other opportunities in the sports and education sectors.
Hannah Matusewich, a recent graduate from Leeds Beckett University with a degree in Sport, is the first to join this exciting new venture. With her trainers laced up and a passion for physical activity, Hannah will be taking on a variety of roles within Sporting Influence. Her responsibilities will include teaching PE and after-school clubs, assisting with competitions, contributing to marketing efforts, and supporting the Sporting Influence Foundation. This diverse experience is designed to equip her with a broad range of skills that will serve her well in her future career.
Hannah comes to the role as an accomplished sportswoman with a strong background in football and horse riding. She is a firm believer in the holistic benefits of physical activity, advocating that the value of exercise extends far beyond the time spent being active.
“Physical activity is not just about the hour of exercise but about the positive effects it has on your body and mind long after,” says Hannah.
Dave Moss, Director of Sporting Influence, expressed his enthusiasm for the new programme and for Hannah’s journey with the company.
“We are thrilled to have Hannah on board as our first graduate in this new programme. Her passion and energy are exactly what we look for, and we can’t wait to see her grow and develop over the next year. This is an exciting time for both Sporting Influence and Hannah, and we’re eager to see where this opportunity takes her.”
As Sporting Influence continues to expand its reach into more schools and communities, the introduction of the Graduate Programme marks a significant step forward in nurturing the next generation of educators and sports professionals. For Hannah, it’s just the beginning of an exciting career pathway that promises both professional growth and the chance to make a real impact on young people’s lives.
