This half term, Outwood Primary Academy has been working on a wide range of sports and activities.
Years 1 and 2 have been taking part in multi-skills sessions, where pupils explored different ways of moving around the indoor space while working together with a partner or in small groups.
Year 3 have been doing multi-sports, focusing on activities such as rugby, basketball, and hockey. They have worked well in teams, encouraging both teammates and opponents. This has helped to create a safe environment in which pupils can build teamwork skills and develop a healthy competitive spirit.
Outwood also runs an after-school club for KS1 pupils. This club has focused on badminton, with children working on control and accuracy. The pupils have made good progress and shown clear improvements throughout the half term.
