We are now seeking a PE & Activity Assistant to join our team in a developmental role. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the beginning of their career who is keen to gain hands-on experience, receive on-the-job training, and achieve a recognised qualification.
This is a development-focused position designed to support your growth within the sports coaching and education sector.
The role will primarily involve:
This is not a full delivery role initially. Instead, it focuses on learning, observing best practice, and building the skills required to progress into a Lead Coach or full-time role in the future.
Upon successful completion of your training and qualification, there will be the opportunity to progress into a full-time role within Sporting Influence.
Shadow & Learn:
Observe experienced staff delivering PE, sports sessions, and enrichment activities to understand structure, behaviour management and engagement strategies.
Session Support:
Assist with equipment setup, demonstrations, small group support and classroom management.
Wraparound & Camp Support:
Help supervise children during after school clubs and holiday activity camps.
Professional Development:
Actively engage in on-the-job training and work towards completing a recognised qualification by the end of the year.
Safeguarding & Standards:
Maintain professional conduct and adhere to all safeguarding, health & safety and organisational policies.
