School of the Week - St Wilfrid's

This week we are celebrating everything St Wilfrid's Catholic Primary School! Miss Matusewich and Mr Whitford have been busy delivering a wide range of PE to all year groups!

The school have also been present at our cluster competitions, showing great resilience, determination and enthusiasm in the sports and even winning the Netball competition and progressing to the final!

Class 4 and Class 5 are currently developing their throwing, catching and striking skills through Rounders! They have already shown great enthusiasm and teamwork and are progressing each week! Class 5 have also been working on their Athletics focusing on the sprinting technique and how they can use their body efficiently to run  quickly!

Mr Whitford has also been closely working with Class 1. Class 1 have focused on controlling a ball when travelling, throwing, rolling and striking a ball! They have shown excellent focus and have worked so hard! Class 2 have started on Athletics, perfecting their jumping and running over short distances!


Class 2 have been working hard on their teamwork skills, spatial awareness and have shown great determination in their team-based games! We have  also concentrated on rolling, throwing and catching within teams to improve their cooperation and resilience skills! Every week they come with great enthusiasm for PE!
