The school curriculum has changed! Every child must now learn how to perform basic first aid. We are more than happy to help and will be providing Mini Medics as part of our school PE provision. Welcome to Mr Atkinson. A former work colleague of Mr Whitford, Mr Atkinson comes with a wealth of knowledge and experience. Teaching Secondary PE for the last 10 years, Mr Atkinson reached Head of PE before making his way to Harrogate. As part of his role, Mr Atkinson taught PE to local Primary Schools for 3 years. In his spare time Neil enjoys spending time with his young daughter and completing some home DIY projects. In his younger years Neil could be found on the football pitch but these days he prefers to take the weight off and let gravity do the hard work as he drifts down the slopes of Europe. Neil is just starting a Masters in Education, gaining more experience and knowledge in his passion and more strings to his bow. Welcome Neil.

We have seen some amazing development, outstanding teamwork, unbelievable respect but most importantly we have seen young children grow a year older and more mature! Our block of cricket, at the Wednesday Evening fixtures, has now come to an end, concluding the 2018/19 Wednesday Evening fixtures and Sporting Influences competitions for the academic year. What a fantastic block it has been. The children have learned skills as the professionals would and then they have applied them in competitive match situations against other schools. The final plea from Mr Doey last night was that the children who attended and are interested, please find a local cricket club and play cricket. There was so much skill on show it would put the World Cup to shame; diving stops, sliding, one handed catching, off stump bowling and some clean hitting. We have done the hard work for you. It is the greatest part of the year! When the sun shines (sometimes) and the reserve day is brought into action, it's SPORTS DAY! We have ran and assisted at a lot of sports days throughout our time, and there is no change to that this year, BiltonKirkby OverblowGoldsboroughWesternBramhope but to name a few. The thing we really love about sports days is seeing all the skills that have been developed and refined throughout the year being put into practice in a competitive setting. Well done to all the children throughout all the schools in which we have worked this year and an extra well done to those who we have seen competing at sports days. You are all a real credit!
