Mr Atkinson has started a Sports Wellbeing Club at Richard Taylors Primary School. Children are invited to the club to learn more about sport and how this can benefit/effect the body. At Wednesday's first club the children were introduced to 4 muscles, learnt about these muscles and how to stretch them, and also worked out their heart rate and understood why it goes up and down. All of this learning is active and fun so the children who may not all enjoy sport or may not want to learn about the body, don't even know they are doing it.

Welcome to Mr Atkinson. A former work colleague of Mr Whitford, Mr Atkinson comes with a wealth of knowledge and experience. Teaching Secondary PE for the last 10 years, Mr Atkinson reached Head of PE before making his way to Harrogate. As part of his role, Mr Atkinson taught PE to local Primary Schools for 3 years. In his spare time Neil enjoys spending time with his young daughter and completing some home DIY projects. In his younger years Neil could be found on the football pitch but these days he prefers to take the weight off and let gravity do the hard work as he drifts down the slopes of Europe. Neil is just starting a Masters in Education, gaining more experience and knowledge in his passion and more strings to his bow. Welcome Neil.
