Our amazing friends at HG2utoring have recently launched a couple of new services that they will be offering over the summer holidays. They'll be offering two new services to both existing and new families, see the programmes below.Pick 'n' Mix Learning ProgrammesA 4-week bespoke plan of support for students in Year 2 - Year 7, created and delivered 1:1 by an experienced teacher. This programme will give families the opportunity to choose 4 key areas from our English and Maths learning menus, which will form the focus of each session. These may be areas that the student has identified as difficult or chosen to incorporate any development targets identified and outlined in end of year reports.Sessions can be delivered online or face-to-face (subject to tutor availability) and there is no commitment from families to continue tuition beyond the 4 sessions.Price: £120 per 4-session programme (a saving of £20 compared to the 1:1 individual rate)Summer Learning ChallengeA KS1 or KS2 learning menu of 30 activities, which link to the Department for Education's 'Activity Passport'. The challenge is to complete as many activities as possible over the summer and families can choose activities that fit their summer holiday schedule. Alongside the activity menu, families will also have access to a private, individual learning portfolio on our SeeSaw platform, where they can upload photos of the activities completed. Each student will be assigned an experienced teacher to give weekly feedback and motivation to encourage continued, positive learning habits. The challenge is a flexible approach to learning so families can complete as many or as few activities as they would like. However, every student who completes 10 or more activities will be entered into a prize draw.Price: £25 (£20 for the first ten sign-ups!)If you would like to enquire or sign up get in touch with HG2utoring now, https://www.hg2utoring.com/

The Sporting Influence Foundation continues to support children in our local community to provide opportunities that they wouldn't usually be able to access. At every camp we run at Ashville College, we provide free places for some of the families and children who need help.We work with some fantastic sponsors and local charities to allow us to raise funds to support this. At our last camp we were able to provide 20 places for children to attend and have a fun, safe and active experience whilst improving confidence and making new friends. This wouldn't have been possible without the support and backing of The David Brown Foundation. A fantastic local charity that supports Foundations like ours and through their very own fundraising events they were able to make this happen.Ollie Ward and James Butterfield, pictured here with David Moss from Sporting Influence, completed an incredible 4 ultra marathons in 4 days this month. All of the money was raised in memory of their great friends Dave and James. A monumental achievement by both.Well done guys and thanks very much for your support. It was much appreciated by the children and families that benefited. One parent commented:"You guys have been an absolute lifesaver for a single mum like me. Just wanted to say how grateful I am, for allowing me to work etc... my children love it every time they come."If you would like to support either of these great causes or donate to the Sporting Influence Foundation, please make contact and make a difference to children's lives in our community.
