The David Brown Foundation support children at Sporting Influence Activity Camp

8 June 2023

The Sporting Influence Foundation continues to support children in our local community to provide opportunities that they wouldn't usually be able to access.  At every camp we run at Ashville College, we provide free places for some of the families and children who need help.We work with some fantastic sponsors and local charities to allow us to raise funds to support this.  At our last camp we were able to provide 20 places for children to attend and have a fun, safe and active experience whilst improving confidence and making new friends. This wouldn't have been possible without the support and backing of The David Brown Foundation. A fantastic local charity that supports Foundations like ours and through their very own fundraising events they were able to make this happen.Ollie Ward and James Butterfield, pictured here with David Moss from Sporting Influence, completed an incredible 4 ultra marathons in 4 days this month. All of the money was raised in memory of their great friends Dave and James. A monumental achievement by both.Well done guys and thanks very much for your support. It was much appreciated by the children and families that benefited. One parent commentedYou guys have been an absolute lifesaver for a single mum like me. Just wanted to say how grateful I am, for allowing me to work etc... my children love it every time they come.If you would like to support either of these great causes or donate to the Sporting Influence Foundation, please make contact and make a difference to children's lives in our community.

The Sporting Influence Foundation Lets Connect Challenge

10 February 2023

💚 WOW WOW WOW 💚🏃 We started the week with no idea how far the children in Sporting Influence schools would be able to run. Not in our wildest dreams did we think we would be in 🇫🇷 Paris by Wednesday morning... We certainly didn't think we would make it to 🇦🇹 Salzburg by Friday evening. The children of 35 schools have covered an impressive 1,216.8km in 5 days! Working out at 34.7km per school. We cannot thank the schools enough for their eagerness to be involved in our challenge and also their publicity to parents who have kindly donated to the foundation. Also, a massive thanks to Your Harrogate who as always were brilliant prior to the challenge spreading the word. The main aim of the challenge was to show just how achievable things are when we come together and have a shared goal. This is transferable across all scenarios in life... #LetsConnectYes, it is #ChildrensMentalHealthWeek but lets not wait another year until we remember about children's mental health!#TogetherWeAchieve

26 May 2022

Sporting Influence Foundation CIC has been busy creating local partnerships with charities, businesses and partners. We are proud to annouce partnerships with Just B, IDAS & Resurrected Bites. These partnerships will ensure that we are able to support those children in the holidays who miss out on activity, structure or maybe just some time with others. IDASResurrected BitesIt is nearly time for all of the members of The Foundation to meet and discuss current and future plans. These meetings are extremely important to ensure that The Foundation are working specifically and solely on their aims. Big thanks and congratulations to Georgia and Tom who have completed their work placement with Sporting Influence. #TheTogetherProject is 6 days from closing

17 March 2022

Next Wednesday (23rd) will see the end of our fundraising effort for #TheTogetherProject. Over the last six weeks have seen great generosity from local people and businesses wanting to help and support young local children throughout the school holidays.  We must also extend our thanks to Sport England and CrowdFunder who have between them, not only made the fundraising effort possible but also matched funding up to 50% of our £4000 target. The monies raised will be going towards children, identified by local schools, where extra activity or continued routine will aid their educational development during term time. If you would like to donate, please follow the link belowhttps://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/the-together-project
